Data Retention & Recovery Plan

Effective 13 September 2026 · private beta

This operational plan explains the current private-beta position and the proposed production schedule. It is not a substitute for the CABVIX application, subscription or data-processing terms, which will be reviewed before general availability.

1. What this covers

This plan covers customer workspace records created in CABVIX: organisations, sites, racks, equipment, patching, outlet maps, paths, histories and uploaded handover evidence. It does not replace a customer’s own obligations to maintain project records or legal archives.

2. Where data is held

Primary CABVIX customer records and supplied evidence are held in the selected Sydney, Australia data region. CABVIX uses authenticated, organisation-scoped access controls so one customer workspace is separated from another. Application delivery, security and diagnostic services may use reputable global infrastructure.

3. Private beta retention

During private beta, CABVIX does not automatically delete an inactive customer workspace. Live workspace records, uploaded evidence and equipment history remain available while the workspace is active, or until an authorised owner asks CABVIX to remove them. Owners should export a portable JSON backup and handover reports before requesting removal.

4. Planned production retention schedule

When subscription terms are introduced, an authorised cancellation will start a 30-day export period. The workspace will be made read-only where practical so its owner can obtain records and reports. After that period, CABVIX plans to keep a recoverable service copy for a further 60 days. After the 90-day total period, customer workspace data and associated evidence will be scheduled for permanent deletion, except where retention is required by law or a separately agreed service arrangement applies.

5. Recovery and restoration

Within the applicable recovery period, an authorised owner may contact support@cabvix.com.au to request recovery. We will verify authority and use reasonable efforts to restore available records. Archived rack hardware can be restored from within the workspace. Recovery is not guaranteed where records have been permanently deleted, overwritten, exported only by the customer, or affected by a third-party service outside CABVIX’s control.

6. Temporary contractor access

QR-approved contractor access is time limited. When it expires, the temporary site view is removed from the contractor’s workspace. The owner’s original records remain unchanged. Access grants and related activity may be retained for operational and security review while the owner workspace is retained.

7. Customer exports and responsibilities

An owner can export a portable JSON backup and generate handover reports while the workspace is available. Customers should keep their own project archive where they need a long-term, immutable or compliance-specific record. CABVIX does not represent that an export alone satisfies every industry, contractual or legal retention requirement.

8. Changes and contact

We will provide notice before applying a material retention change to a customer workspace. Questions, correction requests and recovery requests can be sent to support@cabvix.com.au. This plan will be reviewed with CABVIX’s formal customer terms, privacy notice and data-processing documentation before general availability.
